Open Auditions

for a very special Christmas show, June 27-28

We will hold auditions this month for “A Bennington Christmas Carol,” an original new musical to be produced in December.

The play, based on Charles Dickens’ Christmas classic, opens in 1926 and references Bennington history, places, and personages, including Molly Stark, Robert Frost, and Norman Rockwell. The book, music, and lyrics are by Brian Haner, who has performed in and directed the music for several MAC Center productions.

Auditions for “A Bennington Christmas Carol” will take place 5 to 8 p.m. on June 27 and 10 a.m. to noon on June 28 at the MAC Center. Those participating should be prepared to sing 16 bars and read sides. There are more than 20 roles in the musical, for children 10 to 15 years old and adults of all ages.

To schedule an audition, email Executive Director Kristine Lewis at monumentcentervt@gmail.com.
